Young Geologists Club

Various activities and projects take place at the Young Geologists Club for children aged 4 to 11 years. Usually filling the Pritchard Jones Institute in Newborough with enthusiastic chatter as they make model dinosaurs, fossils of blow-up volcanoes.

The YGC also holds geological walks and the pinnacle of our activities is the Geopark Week, always held at the end of May and beginning of June.

Saturday 1st May - Forensic geology 2/Looking after your collection

Pritchard Jones Hall, Newborough, 2 - 4pm.

5th June, Rock Cycle - Pritchard Jones Institute, Newborough 2pm - 4pm

7th August, Field Trip - Geotrail and collecting samples

September 4 - Fieldtrip

 

November 6 - Looking after your collection/Extreme rocks
